Case Study: Custom Pallets That Stack Up and Save Costs

The Problem

A Louisiana carbon black manufacturer needed a cost-effective pallet solution for shipping supersacks—one that would support their unique racking system and allow for safe double stacking inside vans. When the company was later acquired, the challenge shifted to supplying reconditioned pallets that still met the same structural demands while cutting costs even further.

We worked closely with the plant’s purchasing and shipping managers to design a lightweight, economical pallet tailored to their specific load and racking setup. As the business transitioned under new ownership, we helped them shift toward reconditioned pallets—carefully sourcing units that met stacking and handling requirements without compromising product safety. To keep their operation running smoothly, we also maintain a supply of new pallets on hand to meet just-in-time needs when reconditioned inventory is unavailable.
